Saturday Night At The Movies

Nothing good on telly last night so I watched a couple of movies I had recorded earlier. First was The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. I have seen the trailers for The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel which came out in February. Just so happened the first was on tv.

"British retirees travel to India to take up residence in what they believe is a newly restored hotel. Less luxurious than advertised, the Marigold Hotel nevertheless slowly begins to charm in unexpected ways."

What a great movie, well any movie with Judi Dench and Maggie Smith has to be great. I can't wait to see the second one.

The second was Life Of Pi. This one started at 11pm and ran 2 hours so I thought I'd watch part of it Saturday and then the rest Sunday. I couldn't turn it off.

"A young man who survives a disaster at sea is hurtled into an epic journey of adventure and discovery. While cast away, he forms an unexpected connection with another survivor: a fearsome Bengal tiger."

This was amazing. A couple of animal scenes bothered me, but the movie was very well done. Just so happens, both were Indian themed.
