Everything is wrapped and under the tree & the stockings are stuffed. Now all I have to do is cook. We are having roast beef this year, some don’t like turkey, others don’t like ham. Mashed potatoes, gravy, creamed mixed veg, dinner rolls, Xmas rice salad, apricot chutney & various other condiments. I know it’s not quite traditional but what the heck! For dessert, mincemeat and pumpkin tarts with ice cream and whipped cream. The guy who usually cuts the pies asked for something he doesn’t have to cut, so there you go dear.
I said all I have to do is cook, but wait, there’s more…dusting! If you have a woodstove you know what that is. I can’t do it too far ahead because there will be a layer on everything 5 minutes after I Swiffered.
