Shopping yesterday, I walked past a woman wearing a fragrance that made my nose quiver. I recognized it as Giorgio, one of the nicest perfumes I have smelled. That got me pondering other odours I like. Here we go…lilacs, lily of the valley, Coppertone Suntan Lotion, Noxzema Skin Cleanser, Ivory Dish Soap, Baby’s Own Soap, fresh squeezed limes and grapefruit, roasting turkey, a pot of simmering chili sauce…just to name a few…AND I can remember when I was a kid, plastic. New dolls always had this funny plastic smell that I loved. How odd is that? We sometimes don’t realize what a large part our sense of smell plays in our lives, especially memories. So go ahead and follow your nose!
