We started out with fresh radishes and lettuce, now the cucumbers and zucchini are starting to come on good. We had our first feed of corn (not ours, from the farmer) last weekend and we picked the first tomatoes a couple of days ago. The damn chipmunks are taking a bite out of everything, so you have to be quick. I love it when I have so much stuff, I have to make pickles and relish, chili sauce and salsa…I can’t wait!
On a down note, there is a bear in the area, into the garbage which we have since relocated to the cold cellar. Now we have to go to the dump once a week. Also he pushed over the composter. Go away bear!
