A Whole New Ballgame!

I can't say I've been busy for 3 years, so no excuse for my absence. So, here I am. But, with the whole Covid-19 thing going on, I've spent way to much time on Twitter and Facebook. The more news I read, the worse it gets. Nightmares, stress, worry, that's my game. First it was the toilet paper, hand sanitizer, wipes shortage. Then came the stockpiling of foodstuffs. Then the protests, after that it was "where can I get a mask?" Now it's become almost normal to wear a mask (I've made some paper towel ones, managed to find a supply from a retail source).

I have been out about 5 times to shop since the first part of March (Dollarama 3, Food Basics 1, Canadian Tire & Bulk Barn 1), for necessities. Most of my other shopping is done online with Amazon, Staples, etc. Husband does most of the food shopping once a week because he moves faster and can carry more stuff. I really do miss my visits to Costco and Value Village. I'm still not quite ready to tackle a trip there yet, even though things are starting to open up. He also humps the laundry up and down the stairs in our building for the same reason, to avoid the elevator.

For fun, we read, I do crosswords, he does Sudoku and jigsaw puzzles. We walk every day, me 3 miles, him a bit shorter. I have lost about 30 pounds over the year, partly from the walking but also I started Invisalign braces in December 2019 and can only have them out for 2 hours a day total. I limit my meals to a coffee in the morning and my meal in the evening.

We have a balcony and now that the nicer weather is here we are taking advantage. Kitty also likes to come out and check on the birds and squirrels.

I guess I've been rambling hence the name of the blog, and I'm not a pro writer, so bear with me.
